How to become a Model

A Portfolio

Angelina-Jolie-Naked

A portfolio consists of a collection of photographs(around 20, should be fine) that display your potential as a model. This is what helps you bag the best assignments! While having your picture taken, ensure that the photographs cover a gamut of emotions and backdrops.

To present the portfolio, you need a presentation folder, good prints and a CD (Compact Disk) too. The pictures should be 12″ * 8″, and a combination of black and white as well as colored pictures.

A Composite Card

You should also get yourself a Comp(Composite) card, Model card or Zed card.(They all mean the same) It is a model’s card, which is usually A5 or 51/2″ * 81/2″ with a head shot and your name on the front. It also includes smaller shots and basic statistics and information about the kind of work you are looking for. Get your comp card printed on your own. Do not depend on the modeling agency, as they will print their logo on it. This might deter other agencies from giving you work.

An Agency

The next thing on your agenda is to register with an agency. The work of an agency is to provide models to paying clients. To do this they charge a commission from the client. It is important to look for one that is reliable. To find out about agencies, where they are located and if they are reliable, you need to get on the Internet or ask around. Once you have found an agency, phone and make an appointment to visit them.

Your first meeting.

When you walk in through the door, be clear as to what you would like to know. Ask them questions like, who their models are? What kind of assignments they specialize in?

If they like you and things proceed further, do take a look at the offer carefully. Make sure everything is written down in the agreement. If you have a doubt of any kind,

you could show it someone you trust.

With your portfolio, comp card and agreement in place, the world is your stage. Dreams are now ready to turn into reality, tears of joy fall from your eyes…

A trench coat is suitable for any kind of weather and goes well with almost anything. For night outs, use shimmery gun metal and old gold for party accessories. Sexy Body stockings

I am a very big fan of bodystockings. So much so, I’m always

amazed when I meet a woman who’s never owned one.

These babies can look good on almost any body type,

and every female should have one in her lingerie collection.

That said, not all bodystockings are created equal – some

of them are just plain hideous. Seriously, I’ve seen some that

could n’t possibly redeem themselves, even on a Bardot-like body.

Therefore, I’m going to give you a basic guide for sorting

through the uglies. If you’re a man, it may be in your best

interest to keep reading – bodystockings are very inexpensive

gifts and are, essentially, one size fits all. Which means,

if you get a classic style, she will probbaly love it. Unfortunately,

most of the pictoral examples I’d like to share with you aren’t really

suitable for all viewers, so I’ll leave you to google “body stockings”

if you’d like to see the really hot stuff.

Certainly, some of you could pull off most of the styles and colors

available. This article isn’t for you. This article is for the average

Jane who wants a classic look that will look good on her no matter

what, enduring slight weight fluctuations and water retention that

us non-supermodels have to put up with every month.

Professional caption services get “YouTube Ready”

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 | 10:05 AM

Captioning is becoming increasingly important to YouTube and videos all across the web. Captions ensure that many more people can understand what's happening in your video, from deaf and hard of hearing viewers to people who speak a different language from you and choose to auto-translate the captions into their language. Captions also make your video a lot more discoverable. People searching for content on YouTube might encounter your video if your captions contain the words or subjects they're looking for.

You may be able to manage creating captions for your videos on your own, but sometimes you have too many videos or your video has elements that need special care. Today, thanks to support from the Described and Captioned Media Program (DCMP.org), we're pleased to roll out a new "YouTube Ready" designation for professional caption vendors in the United States. The YouTube Ready logo identifies qualified vendors who can help you caption your YouTube videos.

Personal quotes from Emma Watson

[in response to a reporter asking her whether she always wore pigtails]: I never wear pigtails, I wear plaits.

[Hardest scene]: Neville comes up to me with his toad, Trevor, and says, "Do you want to kiss Trevor goodnight?" Every time he did this I burst into laughter. I was supposed to give him an "I hate you" look, but I couldn't help myself. It took me about eight takes to get it.

It was unbelievable seeing me as an action figure! In a few months, toddlers all around the country will be biting my head off!

[On kissing her co-stars]: Oh my God, no, no chance, no chance. That's not in my contract!

My friends are all really nice about my fame, they're just curious really, they ask lots of questions.

[On how her character, Hermione Granger, has matured]: She's rock and roll. She's feisty. Girl power!

[On reporters asking the same questions over and over]: That's the good thing about them! They all ask exactly the same questions and you can say exactly the same answers! You don't have to think, you can just stand there like a broken record going LALALA.

[on working with boys]: I like being around mixed company. Dan (Daniel Radcliffe) and Rupert (Rupert Grint) definitely make their fair share of cheeky comments about me being girlie, but it's all in good fun.

It took me three films to get Hermione in jeans. To get out of the robes with the tights and the itchy jumpers. Whoo-hoo!

I hope my head doesn't get very big. I'm just going to keep my feet on the ground, stick to friends and family and try and lead a normal life.

I love fashion. I think it's so important, because it's how you show yourself to the world.

[On being a known actress]: Most people are really nice but some stare, like you're some kind of zoo exhibit and not a real person with real feelings. Even when you take away all the glamour and attention and premieres and everything, it still comes down to the fact that I'm acting.

Hermione uses all these big long tongue twister words, I don't know what she's going on about half the time!

I could be 100 years old and in my rocker, but i'll still be very proud that I was part of the Harry Potter films.

[On her co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, who play Harry and Ron]: More than just friends, they've become like brothers. Or sisters, I don't know. In fact, I don't see them like normal boys. I mean that I cannot imagine me going out with one of them. For me, they are like my best friends. I can laugh and talk about everything with them without any taboo. I really like them a lot.

[On other roles]: Now that I've played the snotty, bossy, posh Hermione Granger, I'd like to play some American high school girl. I want to play something totally different. I want to play every kind of character and every point of view, but I'm probably going to be playing Hermione for a while.
